IRONTON With no primary election scheduled this year, Aug. 9 has been set as the filing deadline for candidates in this years general election, according to the Lawrence County Board of Elections. The deadline to either register to vote or update registration is Tuesday, Oct. 18. Huntington Beach elects city council members "at large" for four-year terms, staggering the elections every two years. Van Der Mark and McKeon unsuccessfully ran for council in 2020 along with Tito Ortiz, who was elected before resigning six months into his term. Her district includes the Gallaher Village, Forest Hills and Southeast Hills areas of Huntington.
